First, make sure it is a video that you have made and have the legal rights to share. It should be in an MPEG, Quicktime, Real, Windows, or AVI file.

Go to video.google.com and click on the “upload a video” link at the top of the screen. Now enter your Google account information. If you don’t have one, you can get one, and registration is free. Click “sign in“.

Videos under 100MBs can be uploaded directly from your browser. To upload your video file, click the browse button and find where it is on your computer. Select it and click open. Now type a title and description for your video. Both of these entries are used as keywords for people to find your video.

Next you can select a genre and a language. You can also make your video public where people can view it by a search, or you can make it unlisted which means your video will not turn up in search results. This option is particularly good if you have a family video which you can email links to your family members so they can view it.

Check the check box to agree to the terms and conditions. Now click upload video. Once it has uploaded, you can email the link to your friends or if you click the email,  blog,  post to myspace button, you can do just that.
