American Idol is down to the final three contestants, but if that wasn’t reason enough for you to tune in, there’s now one more thing that is going to make  show extra special.

Perry’s songs, particularly “Ur So Gay” and “I Kissed a Girl“, have generated controversies upon their release. The songs have received reactions from religious and gay sectors. The songs have been respectively labeled as homophobic and promoting homosexuality, as well as for being “lezploitational“.

Katy Perry had to cancel her show in Santa Barbara, CA on Saturday night due to the wildfires that are ravaging the beautiful beach community. The “I Kissed a Girl” singer took to her blog to write about having to scrap the performance in her hometown and posted a picture of the fire that one of her friends took and sent to her.
